HAIR BAND STUDIOS, is a home studio boutique salon located in Willow Spring, NC.  Jen Bigas (owner & stylist) offers an eclectic approach to hair & makeup styling. Clients receive a high end, intimate service experience at competitive prices. Hair Band Studios uses an online booking system allowing clients 24/7 scheduling.

 

A Master of Metamorphosis...

Native New Yorker, Jen started her career at New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Cosmetic and Fragrance Marketing and a keen sense of the chemistry behind the beauty industry. After graduation, she moved to Hollywood to attend the Makeup Designory becoming a certified Journeyman Make-up Artist. Combining her love of chemistry and make-up she settled into her passion of making prosthetic limbs for the niche B horror industry. She established SPFXart, a studio that sold and rented prosthetics to independent production companies.

In 2008 she returned to New York City ready to expand her talents.

A twist from west to east, Jen found herself working steadily styling hair on film production, soon after, becoming a NYS licensed Cosmetologist. Falling in love with color, and combining her knowledge of chemistry, character and beauty, Jen masters the styling arts with color, design and care.
